The Dookie Emporium was established in 2008 in the iconic building in the main street formerly known as the Mt Major Co-operative.

The owners are passionate collectors and restorers, having over 20 years’ experience dealing in antiques, retro and second hand items. Moving to the country and opening this family business close to the family farm, has been a dream come true. The building has over 500sq.m of space to display the incredible eclectic range of goods for sale.  With its speciality of historical and rare militaria and army surplus, it has become well known throughout Australia and well visited for this reason.

If you are looking for superb locally-acquired roasted coffee, you will find it here!  The café serves a range of wonderful cakes and pastries along with locally baked jelly cakes and snowballs for which the café has become renowned.  Breakfast and lunch is available all day, which includes eggs and bacon, croissants and a range of interesting toasties.  Take lunch any time with toasted Turkish focaccias, a selection of gourmet pies, quiches and the best side salad this side of The Black Stump!  The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.  Children are well catered for with art materials, board games, milk shakes, hot chocolates and yummy treats.

There is a huge range of furniture, china, glassware, retro and vintage clothing, mantiques, garagenalia, books and vinyl for sale.  Perhaps the most striking feature is the large collection of rare and collectible militaria and army supplies.  Whether you are a buyer or one to just love to wander and browse, you are very likely to find something that you cannot resist at The Emporium.

They are always looking to purchase quality second hand goods.  If you think you have something that might be of interest, contacted through their Facebook page or on Instagram (Dookie Emporium).
