Pop-Up Art Display

The Element of Artistic Surprise.

If and when you venture northbound along the Dookie Rail Trail, you will experience a pop- up art display nearly the end of the track. On the west side you will see some primarily wooden sculptures emerging from the earth on the property of Liz Evans and Andrew Sands. These are a collective work of Liz and Andrew created spontaneously and light heartedly, initially to provide the walkers and riders with a few little surprises along their route.  The sculptures are a collection of ideas to give enjoyment to others and in a smaller way, preserve some of the materials collected on the property.

This project arose out of the first lock down when Liz and Andrew had some unprecedented free time away from their business -The Artists tree and Nursery. These sculptures are both temporary and dynamic, and there will be changes to then so look out for more innovative additions to these works.

As they are near the end of the designated track, you are able to park off road where the track ends and walk a relatively short distance back to view the sculptures, if walking or riding is not on your agenda.   We look forward to what might transpire and further surprises from these new beginnings…
